We hear about it!
A report of Médoc wine tasting in "Saveurs" (March 2002, in french) mentions that the 1998 and 1999 vintages of the
"Château Listran" have a good quality.
Headed by a cute manor, this wine [Ch. Listran 97] finds its originality in the nose, which is dominated by Passion
fruits but without ignoring red fruits and game flavours.
-Guide Hachette des vins 2001-
" Very pretty 97, very traditional, of beautiful dress constant and brilliant, with the nose of red small fruits and humus,
loose in mouth thanks to silky tanins. The 96 is very scented, very rich, of a great concentration of flavours (blackcurrant,
spices...), persistent stops some, very balanced, with the firm tanins. "
-Millésimes-
" Goes up in rank in Classification 99. Beautiful Medoc 96, intense, with the nose of red small fruits characteristic, with
balanced tanins, a wine which requires patience. The 95 is quite as tempting, a fatty and typified wine, quite tannic, with
the complex flavours where dominate the cherry and the spices, combining firmness and roundness in mouth, of beautiful
evolution. Do not hesitate. "
-Guide Dussert-Gerber des vins de France 99-
" Produce from a vineyard surrounding a nice manor, this wine [Ch. Listran 94] is still a little rustic, but it is pleasant
by its red fruit bouquet and its fine tanins. "

Nouret, Preuillac, Tour Blanche,
Saint-Hilaire, Bellerive, Bournac, Vieux Château Landon, Vieux Robin, David, Grivière, Lafon, La Hourqueyre, La Tour de By,
Le Bosc, Le Temple, Listran, ..."
